Asacol is used for:

Treating and causing remission of various forms of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon). Asacol may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.Asacol is a 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA). It works by preventing the production of substances that cause the inflammation of the colon.

How to use Asacol:

• Take Asacol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation.
